Capresso 560 vs 565: Conocial Bar Grinders with 16 Grind Settings

The Capresso 560 and 565 are two moderately priced coffee grinders designed for domestic use. They both belong to the Capresso Infinity series, come with an 8.8-ounce bean container and 4-ounce ground coffee container, have extremely similar functionality and appearance. Nevertheless, this Capresso 560 vs 565 battle will reveal the distinctions between these models.

Design

Looking at the Capresso 560 and 565, you may think that they are the same product. The only difference is the color of the timer switch (the 560 has a black one and the 565 has silver). They also have the same size (5 x 7.8 x 10.5 inches) and weight (3 pounds). However, it should be mentioned that the 560 is also available in black.

Grind Consistency

The models provide uniform and consistent grinding as they are based on a 100W gear reduction motor. It runs at a low speed (420 RPM), eliminating the coffee beans from getting burnt during grinding. It also helps keep both the smell and the taste of the coffee. Being equipped with burrs with an advanced conical design that are rarely met in domestic models, these grinders cut coffee beans with high precision. So, as you can see, there is no difference between the grind consistency of these models.

Ease of Use

The grinders have 16 grind settings, divided into 4 sections (Fine, Extra Fine, Medium, and Coarse). They also have only one control: a mechanical timer switch. This way, these models are very easy to use. All you have to do is fill the bean container, set the required grinding and timer (from 5 to 60 seconds). They both don’t have a pulse button and on/off switch.

Build Quality

Despite the fact that it’s hard to notice differences when comparing Capresso 565 vs 560 as for an external look, the models are manufactured of different materials. This way, the Capresso 560 is made of ABS. Just compare it to the Capresso 565 that is made of heavy-duty zinc. Thus, the last model is sturdier and is more resistant to shocks and vibrations. However, both models have containers made of plastic and use steel burrs that are very durable. They both also have a detachable upper burr.
